(you do not have to attend both sessions of a two part series
- come when and if you can!)
TWO PART SERIES: Transitions
January 26 Having a Plan B (and C & D) in Times of Uncertainty
Having the ability to quickly pivot, actively brainstorm and rapidly troubleshoot could be critical in 2017. We know there are seismic shifts underway in our political landscape, and tightening state budgets, leadership changes at many agencies, a list of things we could anticipate and a longer list of those we can't imagine. Having a realistic, nimble plan in place is vital to your organization's sustainability. We need to understand how to recognize issues as they surface, to have processes in place to assess prospective solutions, and to act on plans for quick implementation. We'll walk you through some potential scenarios and discuss usable strategies.
February 23 Planning Part II
TWO PART SERIES: Diversity
March 30 Diversity in the Non-Profit Space - All Stakeholders
April 27 Diversity Part II - Board Governance
Future 2017 Topics:
Staffing, Transitions, Building a Career Path for yourself & your staff
Mergers & Acquistions
Transfer of Wealth & Current Giving Patterns
Developing Development Directors

I'm so grateful for your monthly breakfasts. I feel that they transformed me from a newbie Board member into a better leader. They have enriched my nonprofit vocabulary and comfort levels in stepping up to challenges. - Board President, Austin
Chaparral Eurythmy is a small performing arts group affiliated with the Austin Waldorf School. I am one of the founding members. The last SFCC workshop I attended was on grant writing. Since then, we are very happy to report, our group has become a Sponsored Project of the Austin Creative Alliance. In addition, our art is 100 years old this year, and our historic Centennial Performances were supported by the City of Austins’ Cultural Arts Division with a Community Initiatives Grant. Thank you for the SFCC workshop, guidance and encouragement! - Director, Austin
