Laura Wolf
Consultant
Laura brings more than 25 years of professional nonprofit experience in Austin, including 18 years as the CEO of CASA of Travis County. She has deep experience in nonprofit management and leadership, effective strategy and execution, fundraising and donor stewardship, Board engagement, and organizational change and growth. Laura believes in excellence and integrity in service to honorable missions that make our communities better.
As CEO of CASA of Travis County, Laura led numerous initiatives that were replicated in other CASA programs around the state and steered CASA to achieve its longtime north star: accepting automatic appointment from the Court to every new case of child abuse or neglect in Travis County.
In addition to her professional experience, Laura has volunteered as President of The Junior League of Austin and on numerous local nonprofit Boards of Directors, including current service on the Board of Friends of the Children-Texas. Notably, Laura served as President of the Board of the Austin Rape Crisis Center and in that capacity led the merger with the Center for Battered Women to form SafePlace, the predecessor organization to SAFE. She also served on the founding Board of Con Mi MADRE, having helped launch it as an independent organization from a project of The Junior League of Austin.
Laura has received awards for her community service from the Girl Scouts of Central Texas, The Junior League of Austin, SafePlace, the Dispute Resolution Center, and the Texas Association Against Sexual Assault.
Laura received her B.A. from Smith College, in Northampton, Massachusetts, and her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law. She’s a native Texan who loves travel, art, books, and trying new restaurants with her friends.
