Sarah brings more than 15 years of experience in the fields of organizational management, marketing, fundraising, public relations, journalism, strategic planning, event planning, and program development to the Seeds for Change team. Working in both domestic and international settings, Sarah is passionate about helping for-impact organizations tell their stories effectively and maximize impact.
Sarah’s prior experience includes serving as the Executive Director of Edge of Seven, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating access to education for girls and women in Nepal and Kenya, and serving as the Executive Director for Give 5 to Mother Earth Day, an Austin-based campaign to unite local businesses with organizations working to improve the Central Texas environment. Sarah has also served as the Director of Marketing and Communications for Meals on Wheels and More, which provides home-delivered meals to home bound individuals, the Director of Philanthropy and Development for a global public health organization, and she worked as a newspaper editor and reporter with the Boston Herald Newspaper Company. Through her various roles, Sarah has spoken frequently on panels and at events on the topics of women’s global empowerment, education, and hunger relief, as well as best practices for nonprofit communications and fundraising.
Sarah received a B.S. and an M.S. from Boston University’s College of Communications. She and her husband live in Austin with their two daughters, and in her free time Sarah enjoys teaching yoga, traveling, reading, photography, and getting outside as much as she can.
