Employee Searches
The consulting team at Seeds for Change performs local, regional and national talent searches. In collaboration with organizational leadership, we do the heavy lifting of drafting job descriptions, posting and networking within our professional circles, and receiving the avalanche of applications. Then, based on organizational priorities, we sift through those using a blind grading rubric, finding the diamonds in the masses. We also perform screening interviews, reference checks and assist with final interview logistics and format.
All the while keeping leadership informed- but free from the time consuming hassle of processing unqualified and not great fit applicants for the organization. In the end, the organization has multiple top candidates for its careful consideration.
While we will do a search for any non-profit staff position, our areas of greatest expertise are development staff including Chief Development Officer and Development Director leadership positions, and Executive Directors.

interim leadership positions, IN RESIDENCY & fractional staffing
Several Seeds for Change team members have in-house, professional staffing experience - at the Executive Director, Deputy Director, Chief Development Officer and Program Leader levels. We are able and willing to fill:
Reasonably priced, well defined and strategically scoped for the most direct impact, our team members can bring non-profit expertise without the long term organizational commitment of a paid employee.
Interim contracts typically run for two to six months, at 10 - 30 hours a week, depending on the needs of the organization and the project at hand. In residency positions are typically 30 - 40 hours a week for 6 - 18 months long. Fractional staffing can be 3 - 5 months, or run for 6 - 12 months, renewable.
- Interim leadership positions - either in planned or crisis mode, to support a major initiative or to fill a needed gap in the short term - interim contracts can be negotiated with or with Seeds for Change managing the search for a permanent professional.
- In residency positions - long term engagements - allow us to deep dive over a extended period to bring catalytic changes to your organization.
- Fractional staffing - part time consulting positions that are flexible but steady engagement over a set period of defined time - can help boost departmental or organizational outputs while minimizing resource outlay. The most common fractional staffing positions are as grants managers, proposal writers and specific fundraising project specialists.
